RATE INCREASE NOTIFICATION
Bear Creek Special Utility District (SUD) purchases all treated water from North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD). NTMWD notified the SUD in September 2023 that the cost of treated water would increase by $0.30 per thousand gallonsbeginning October 1, 2023.
NTMWD's budget planning process considers demand, construction prices, wages, and interest rates ongoing factors in our rising economy and staff continuously seeks new ways to mitigate these challenges while maintaining cost-effectiveness for their Member Cities and Customers.
Upon consideration of the information available to the SUD, on October 16, 2023, the Board of Directors adopted a $0.30 per thousand gallon increase to its water service rates.

The effective date of the rate increase will be on the bill due January 10, 2024, bill. The usage period is November 16, 2023 to December 18, 2023.
